IM BAAAAAAAACK!!! ^_^ MISS ME?!

So its been a while... I know, I missed ya too!
So whats new? WELL.. aside from the weight gain & hair growth nothing I guess.
Ok let me try to elaborate a little without giving away too much info:
So this past spring semester I went on super depression mode.
Lost focus on school, my weight.. well, life in general.
So of course I gained a bit.. maybe ALL the weight I lost.
But its cool because Im amped up & ready to go!
On a more positive note I finished my first professional year of pharmacy school.
HORRRAAAAYYYY!!!!
(3 more years to go)
AND I'm working now.
So I've been keeping myself busy and now I feel like I'm ready to
restart my healthy lifestyle once again... and this time I wont fall off the train.
*crosses fingers*
Stay tuned for weigh in and length check!

Project 150 Intro - Wk 1

Hey fitness freaks!

I know this video is way over due. The semester is finally over and I think it has ended at the perfect time.

This is a brief intro to what I'm calling "Project 150". My goal weight it 150 lb and I plan on getting there before the end of 2011. I've always been one to push myself when it comes to my weight loss. I'll be making more videos going into depth on exactly what I plan on doing to get there.

I went out and bought a pair of boy shorts so that it will show what size I want to be by the end of the challenge.

Feel free to join me on my journey or just sit back and watch me shrink! ;)

Where's the RESET button?

So as many of those who already follow me may know, I have hit a plateau. A weight loss plateau is when you no longer lose weight doing what you've been doing all along. This kind of scared me, actually "kind of" is an understatement, I pretty much freaked out; I feel backed up, I'm not eliminating like I was before, while working out I get tired quicker, I am sluggish, I have really bad joint pains, I feel like crap!

I came up with this detox plan by trying to figure out why all this was occurring. I broke down all the reason I could think of as to why my body is reacting in this manner. Then I began to sketch out different plans of action. I've been researching this for days. There are many different solutions to my issue but I feel like the best way for me is to go on a detox.

Why detox?

1. Reboot my system - I have never detoxed my system before. Granted I have done small things like maybe a salt water flush or I would use castor oil. But I did those to clear out my digestive system for that moment. They didn't really change anything - how I ate or how my digestive tract functioned.

2. Learn to discipline my eating habits - I have been eating cleaner but these past two months I have completely lost it.

3. Detox Benefits - The benefits of detoxing are craaaazy - clearer skin, decreased bloating, higher energy (just to name a few). I've even heard of medical benefits as well but don't want to get into all that. There is so much information out there on detox benefits.

What is included in my detox?

All the fruits and veggies I want + water. I don't believe in starving my body AT ALL. I will still be working out and I will still be feeding my body whenever it feels that it needs to fed. Most of my meals will be in smoothie form but If I have the urge to much or snack on something I wont hesitate to just reach over and grab something. School is about to start so there will be temptation all around.

For how long?

I initially only wanted to go for 14 days but I am one to push myself. I don't want an easy solution, I want to work for my desired results. I don't want to short hand myself and go into this thinking I can't do it without even trying. I want to go into this knowing that I gave it 10000% of my effort. I will be aiming for 30 days. Exact dates are TBA.

Wish me luck!

*sings* "Ain't no sunshine when school starts this fall!"

"..Only darkness everydayyyyy. Ain't no sunshine when school start this fall, cuz this fall, professional pharmacy school start on Aug. 29th.. and they don't plaaaaayyy!!!"

Can we say #FML ?!
So I'm JUST getting through with summer semester, can I BREATHE before I hit the books again? My goodness?! What's a girl got to do to get a beach vacation around here? (Graduate.)

So what are the hair plans this fall?

TLC Galore
My hair will be treated like the fine silk that it is! My hair needs some SUPER TLC. I want to be one with my hair, know the functionality of it, what it likes, what it doesn't like. I want to be able to thicken this bad boy UP! ..and when it's all said and done I want to rexlax these roots right up, sit back, and witness how my hard work has paid off. #TeamAPL2011

What about the weight loss journey?
So as you know I enter my first professional year of pharmacy school (yay goodbye undergrad!) so I won't have as much time as I had this summer to work out. But thats ok because the bulk of my weight loss journey has already been taken care of.

My plans are to simply work out at least 3-5x per week and continue my healthy diet. I will still lose the weight over time. I have no major concerns in this department so this is the least of my worries.
