Weight Loss Tip #2 - Start Counting!

There has been much debate over this tip but I must say this what has helped me the most on my weight loss journey.

BE CALORIE CONSCIOUS

Set a daily calorie goal, count your calories and make sure you are eating the proper serving size.

Take the time out to actually read the nutrition facts and KNOW what exactly you are putting in your body. Your body is a temple and you should ALWAYS treat it as such.

The problem is not only what you are eating, it's how much you are eating.
You want to get the most out of everything you eat. So if your daily calorie goal is 1,500 calories and you ate an ice cream sandwich which is 500 calories, you've pretty much already ate 1/3 of your daily calorie goal and you got very little nutrition out of it.

Keep a food log or journal and write out what you are eating, how much you ate and how many calories you consumed. This log will help you stay within your goal range.
The calorie counter I use is online:

My fitness pal does all the work for you. You can log on through your computer or cellular phone. You basically look up whatever it is you ate and record how much of it you ate; MFP then calculates the nutritional values for you in a daily log. Recording on your phone is even easier! MFP is readily available for instant access via the MFP application. You can simply scan the barcode of what you are eating with your camera and the application will automatically find the product, record it, and sync it to your online account.

Hope this helps!
Stay Fab&Fit,
Thanks for stopping by!
